Michelle Bachmann blasts socialists in GOP

Former GOP front-runner Minnesota Rep. Michelle Bachmann blasted fellow GOP candidate Mitt Romney at a recent speech to the Family Research Council in Washington. Although she did not mention him by name she did take a jab at his history of supporting socialized medicine saying

"We cannot preserve liberty for ourselves and our posterity if the choice in next November is between a frugal socialist and an out-of-control socialist."

"Unfortunately for too many Republicans, they also aspire to be frugal socialists. The reason President Obama and some Republicans can get behind socialized medicine is because they share the same core political philosophy about the purpose of government."

"They share the same core political philosophy about the purpose of government." That is, in a nut shell, what the voting public definitely needs to understand, and quickly. The problem we face in regard to the liberty of future generations stems directly from big government, big government has been advocated by not only the left-wing progressives who are open about their ambitions, but also by the GOP.

We cannot continue allow the size of government to grow. If we are serious about being members of a free society, a free republic, free humanity, we must reign in the out of control growth of our national government. We must restrict it to its enumerated powers under the Constitution, and jealously guard against those who seek to gain power through its expansion.

Whatever the intentions of those who believe they can use government as a force for good, we must continue to remind them that "the natural progress of things is for liberty to yield, and government to gain ground," as Thomas Jefferson warned. The corrupt members of a society will always seek posistions of power and influence. There exists a definite correlation between the size of government and the extent to which a society can truly call itself free.

United States cuts UNESCO funding

Defying a warning from Washington, member nations of UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, voted to grant Palestine membership status in the organization. This act triggered a congressional ban on funding to UN organizations that recognize Palestine as a state.

President Reagan pulled the US out of UNESCO in 1984, he cited the organization's financial mismanagement, blatant anti-Americanism, and a general hostility toward freedom as the reasoning behind the withdrawal. Two decades later the globalist George W. Bush committed the United States back into the organization and agreed to pay almost a whole quarter of the organization's annual budget.

UNESCO's educational arm operates a program know as the International Baccalaureate Organization, this organization provides curriculum to schools all over the world, ever wonder why globalization and the "citizens of the world" mentality has become common place in American schools? It is because many American schools are members of UNESCO's IBO program and they are teaching a globalist curriculum provided by globalists who, as Ronald Reagan pointed out, are generally hostile to freedom. The IBO program operates in 1,182 schools in 101 countries, including many North American schools. The goal of the IBO is to build global citizenship.

Given the fact that American progressives are equally hostile to freedom, it is reasonable to suspect that the congressional ban that was triggered by the acceptance of Palestine into the organization will be a temporary speed bump that will amount to little more than political posturing. The progressives in the White House and State Department will not pull out of this globalist holy grail, they will find a way around the obstacle.

Climate scientist blows whistle on ClimateGate II

Berkeley Professor Richard Muller is seeking his own spot in the ClimateGate Hall of Fame. A study published by the good professor and his colleagues last week, just in time for next month's UN climate summit in South Africa, was touted as being the end of the debate, and claimed to show once and for all that climate skeptics were on the wrong side of the truth.

The primary assertion of the study is that the Earth's temperature has risen almost 1 degree Celsius in the last 61 years, and the rise is going to continue unless world governments get mid-evil on capping carbon emissions. However, in similar fashion to Professor Muller's colleagues from East Anglia University who sought to "hide the decline" in temperature, securing their spots in the ClimateGate Hall of Fame, Professor Muller figured he would apply the same technique, which is yielding similar results.

The following chart, loaded with Professor Muller's raw data which was provided on his research team's website makes it clear that the absence of increase in global temperature is being hidden.

Now, since that analysis may fall on deaf ears, a coauthor of the study in question has come forward to say that Professor Muller is in fact misleading the public with questionable data.

Professor Judith Curry, a 30 year climate scientist and coauthor of Professor Muller's study told the Mail on Sunday that Professor Muller has made a "huge mistake" and has no scientific proof to substantiate his claims.

With no significant rise in global temperature to point to, despite CO2 levels that continue to rise, climate scientists are finding it increasingly more difficult to substantiate their alarmist activism with sound science. An aware public and growing community of skeptics will be the key to ensuring these types of erroneous studies are identified and refuted by credible scientists prior to being used to justify draconian job killing, wealth transferring, and sovereignty ending legislation.

Media whitewash Vatican calls for New World Order

Sifting through dozens of media sources on the Vatican's recent call for a New World Order is bad enough, according to most sources Vatican officials are calling for the establishment of a world central bank and new global institutions capable of taxing individual nation states. Obviously that is bad enough, but reading the source document the media is pulling this information from is downright scary. Their idea goes well beyond a central bank and authority to lay and collect taxes on citizens of the world.

In a document titled "Towards reforming the international financial and monetary systems in the context of global public authority" the Vatican's Pontifical Council For Justice and Peace actually call for eroding national sovereignty and transferring evermore control from nation states to global and regional governing bodies.

...conditions exist for definitively going beyond a ‘Westphalian’ international order in which the States feel the need for cooperation but do not seize the opportunity to integrate their respective sovereignties for the common good of peoples.It is the task of today’s generation to recognize and consciously to accept these new world dynamics for the achievement of a universal common good. Of course, this transformation will be made at the cost of a gradual, balanced transfer of a part of each nation’s powers to a world Authority and to regional Authorities, but this is necessary at a time when the dynamism of human society and the economy and the progress of technology are transcending borders, which are in fact already very eroded in a globalized world.

So the thought process of the Vatican is developing far beyond a simple bank, or a taxing authority. The Vatican is openly calling for a world government and the only thing you hear about it from most media outlets is that the Vatican has called for a world central bank. Much more than that is going on here...

the transition from a situation of archaic struggles between national entities, to a new model of a more cohesive, polyarchic international society that respects every people's identity within the multifaceted riches of a single humanity. Such a passage, which is already timidly under way, would ensure the citizens of all countries – regardless of their size or power – peace and security, development, and free, stable and transparent markets.

What is already "timidly under way" with regard to the transition from the national struggles and the new utopia envisioned by the Vatican? The logical next question is why has the public been kept in the dark about it?
